Pangolin Edge ("we," "us") operates pangolinedge.com, a study-resource and review site for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. Courses recommended here are purchased on Udemy, not on this site. This page explains the limited data this site collects and how it is used.

Who we are. This site is operated by Pangolin Edge Ltd. Contact: legal@pangolinedge.com.

What we collect

Nothing you type. This site has no user accounts, no checkout, and no signup forms. We never collect your name, email address, or payment details.

Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which helps us understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, how you arrived (search engine, referral link), and which outbound links you click — including clicks through to our Udemy course pages. GA4 sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish returning browsers. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare processes IP addresses and basic request data in server and security logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Outbound links to Udemy and YouTube

When you click a course link, the URL includes a coupon code and tracking parameters that tell us — in aggregate — that a visit came from this site and from which page. These parameters do not identify you personally. Once you are on Udemy or YouTube, those platforms' own privacy policies and cookies apply.

Cookies

The only cookies set by this site come from Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The site works normally with analytics cookies blocked.

How we use this data

To see which articles are useful, fix technical problems, and measure which pages lead readers to the course. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

We rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for hosting and site security, and on consent where local law requires it for analytics cookies.

Data retention

GA4 event-level data is retained for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Cloudflare retains server logs according to its own schedules.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at legal@pangolinedge.com.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. This site does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

Children

This site is aimed at adults preparing for a professional securities exam and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International transfers

Google and Cloudflare process data in the United States under safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
